Soak and Grind, Soak 1 cup of moong dal for 4-5 hours, then grind it into a coarse paste.

Prepare Batter, Mix the moong dal paste with 1/2 cup yogurt, grated vegetables turmeric, red chili powder, and salt. Let it ferment for 4-5 hours.

Temper, Heat oil, add mustard seeds, sesame seeds, curry leaves, and asafoetida, then mix it into the batter.

Add Baking Soda, Just before cooking, add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda and mix well.

Cook in Pan, Pour the batter into a greased pan, spreading it evenly.

Cook on Low Heat, Cover and cook on low heat until the bottom is golden brown, then flip and cook the other side.

Serve, Once both sides are cooked, cut into pieces and serve hot with chutney.
