Blend the cheese, in a blender or food processor, add the cream cheese or cottage cheese and blend until smooth and creamy.
Add milk, gradually pour in the milk while blending to achieve a spreadable consistency. Add more or less milk based on your desired thickness.
Incorporate butter, add the softened butter to the mixture and blend again until fully incorporated and smooth.
Season, add a pinch of salt and any desired herbs or spices for extra flavor. Blend once more.
Chill and serve, transfer the cheese spread to a bowl, chill for about 30 minutes in the fridge, and then it’s ready to spread on bread, crackers, or sandwiches.
