Prepare the green peas, grind the green peas coarsely, keeping the texture slightly chunky.
Fry the potatoes, heat oil, fry diced potatoes until golden, and set aside.
Cook the spices, heat oil, add cumin seeds and bay leaf. Saute garlic, ginger, and green chilies until aromatic.
Add onions and tomatoes, cook onions until golden, then add tomatoes, turmeric, and coriander powder. cook until soft.
Cook the green peas, add the ground peas and saute for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently.
Simmer with potatoes, add fried potatoes, water, and salt. cover and simmer until potatoes are tender.
Finish and serve, sprinkle garam masala, garnish with coriander, and serve hot with rice or roti.
