Here’s a healthy pancake recipe that’s great for weight loss.

In a large bowl, whisk together 1 cup whole wheat flour, 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon salt.

In another bowl, mix 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, 1 large egg, 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly coat with cooking spray or a small amount of oil.

Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet, cook until bubbles form and edges set, then flip and cook until golden brown.

Transfer cooked pancakes to a plate and keep warm in a low oven while you cook the remaining pancakes.

Serve with fresh fruit, a dollop of Greek yogurt, or a drizzle of pure maple syrup if desired.
