Prepare the Ingredients, mash 2 ripe bananas in a bowl. preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). grease and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
Mix Wet Ingredients, in a bowl, whisk 1/2 cup melted butter, 3/4 cup sugar, 2 eggs, and the zest and juice of 1 lemon. add the mashed bananas and mix well.
Combine Dry Ingredients, sift together 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp baking soda, and a pinch of salt. gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
Bake the Cake, pour the batter into the prepared pan. bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve, let the cake cool completely before slicing. optionally, dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with a light lemon glaze. serve with tea and enjoy.
