Prepare the Dough: In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of whole wheat flour, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1 tablespoon of grated fresh ginger. Add water gradually to knead into a soft, smooth dough. Let it rest for 15–20 minutes.
Divide and Roll: Divide the dough into small balls. roll each ball into a flat, round disc on a lightly floured surface.
Cook the Paratha: Heat a tawa or griddle on medium heat. Place the rolled-out dough on the tawa, and cook for about 1–2 minutes until bubbles start to form. Flip the paratha and cook the other side for 1–2 minutes.
Apply Ghee or Butter: Once both sides are cooked, brush ghee or butter on both sides for extra flavor and crispiness.
Serve: Remove the ginger paratha from the tawa and serve hot with yogurt, pickle, or any curry of your choice.
