Soak and Grind the Chana Dal, soak 1 cup chana dal in water for 2-3 hours. drain and grind it with 2-3 garlic cloves, 1-inch ginger, and a little water to make a smooth, thick batter.
Add Spices and Veggies, mix chopped onions, tomatoes, green chilies, coriander leaves, 1/2 tsp turmeric, 1/2 tsp cumin powder, and salt into the batter.
Heat the Tawa, heat a non-stick tawa or skillet and grease it lightly with oil.
Cook the Chilla, pour a ladle of batter onto the pan and spread it evenly in a circular shape. cook for 2-3 minutes on medium heat, flip, and cook the other side until golden and crispy.
Serve Hot, serve the chana dal chilla hot with mint chutney, tomato ketchup, or curd for a delicious, healthy meal.
