Here’s a simple recipe to make delicious Mawa Kheer at home in 5 steps.

Cook the Rice, in a large pot, bring the milk to a boil. Add the soaked rice and reduce the heat. Cook on low flame, stirring occasionally, until the rice is soft and cooked through.

Add Mawa and Sugar, once the rice is cooked, crumble the mawa into the pot and mix well. add sugar and continue to stir until it dissolves completely.

Flavor with Cardamom, add cardamom powder and mix it in. If using saffron, soak it in a tablespoon of warm milk and then add it to the kheer for extra flavor.

Cook Until Thickened, cook the mixture for another 5-10 minutes on low heat, stirring continuously until the kheer thickens to your desired consistency.

Serve and Garnish, remove from heat and let it cool slightly. garnish with chopped nuts and serve warm or chilled.
