Prepare the batter, in a bowl, mix besan, grated beetroot, chopped onion, green chili, cumin seeds, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt. add water gradually and whisk to form a smooth, lump-free batter.
Rest the batter, let the batter rest for 5-10 minutes to enhance the flavors.
Heat the pan, heat a non-stick or iron tawa and lightly grease it with oil or ghee.
