Soak the poppy seeds, soak khus khus in warm water for 15–20 minutes for easy blending.

Prepare the paste, blend soaked poppy seeds with garlic, ginger, and green chili into a smooth paste.

Heat oil, in a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds, letting them splutter.

Saute onions, add chopped onions and cook until golden brown.

Cook tomatoes and spices, add tomatoes, turmeric, coriander powder, and salt; cook until soft.

Add khus khus paste, stir in the blended poppy seed paste and cook for 3-4 minutes.

Adjust consistency, add water and let the curry simmer for 5-7 minutes until thick.

Garnish and serve, sprinkle garam masala, garnish with fresh coriander, and serve hot with roti or rice.
