Here's how to make Jharkhand’s Tribal Cuisine, Wild Ber Chutney in just 5 Easy Steps.
Prepare the ber, wash and deseed the wild ber, then lightly mash them using a spoon or mortar & pestle.
Temper the spices, heat mustard oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and dry red chilies, and let them splutter.
Cook the Ber, add mashed ber, jaggery, salt, and tamarind pulp, then stir well. let it cook for 5-7 minutes.
Enhance the flavor, sprinkle roasted cumin powder and mix until the chutney thickens.
Serve & enjoy, let it cool slightly, then serve with rice, roti, or as a side to traditional tribal dishes.
