Here's how to make Punjabi-style cheeni ka paratha at home.

Prepare the Dough, in a bowl, combine 1 ½ cups of whole wheat flour, a pinch of salt, and water. knead the dough until soft and smooth. let it rest for 15 minutes.
Prepare the Sugar Mixture, in a small bowl, mix 2-3 tbsp of sugar with a pinch of cardamom powder. optionally, add a small amount of ghee for extra richness
Roll the Dough, divide the dough into small balls. roll each ball into a small disc, about 4–5 inches in diameter.
Add the Sugar Filling, place a spoonful of the sugar mixture in the center of the rolled dough. fold the edges to seal the sugar inside.
Roll Again, roll the stuffed dough ball into a flat, circular paratha, making sure the sugar is evenly distributed.
Cook the Paratha, heat a tawa or skillet. cook the paratha on medium heat, applying ghee or butter on both sides until golden brown and crispy.
