Start with fermented idli batter and add salt for enhanced flavor.

Add veggies like carrot and capsicum to your idli batter, and make sure that they are evenly chopped.

Season the batter with black pepper or red chili powder and mix it well.

Now grease the idli molds with oil or ghee, make sure that it does not stick.

Pour the batter into idli molds ensuring that it is evenly distributed.

Steam for 10-12 minutes on medium heat until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Let the idlis cool slightly, then demold and serve with coconut chutney or sambar.
