Prepare the ingredients, chop the kimchi into bite-sized pieces. dice onions and garlic. if using a protein like chicken, spam, tofu, etc, cut it into small cubes.
Heat the pan, heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. add onions and garlic, stir-frying until fragrant.
Cook kimchi and protein, add the chopped kimchi and kimchi juice, stir-frying for 2-3 minutes. add the protein and cook until lightly browned.
Season the rice, add gochujang, soy sauce, and sugar to enhance flavor. stir well to coat everything evenly.
