Soak and Cook Chana, soak 1 cup chana overnight. drain and cook them in a pressure cooker with water for 3-4 whistles until soft. mash them well.
Prepare Sugar Syrup, in a pan, heat 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water. stir until the sugar dissolves completely to make a syrup.
Cook Chana Paste, heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan. add the mashed chana and cook for 5-7 minutes until it becomes slightly golden.
Add Sugar Syrup, add the prepared sugar syrup to the chana paste and cook, stirring constantly, for 10 minutes until it thickens.
Add Cardamom Powder, sprinkle 1/2 tsp cardamom powder into the mixture and stir.
Prepare the Mold, grease a tray or a plate with ghee. pour the chana mixture into it and flatten it with a spatula.
Cool and Cut, let the barfi cool completely. once set, cut it into square or diamond shapes. serve and enjoy.
