How to Make Zucchini Dal Uttapam in 5 Simple Steps

Prepare the Batter, soak 1 cup rice and 1/2 cup urad dal in water for 4-5 hours. grind to a smooth paste, adding water as needed, and ferment overnight. mix salt into the batter before use.

Grate the Zucchini, wash and grate 1 medium zucchini. Squeeze out excess water and add it to the fermented batter. mix in finely chopped onions, green chilies, and coriander leaves.

Heat a non-stick pan or griddle and lightly grease it with oil. pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it gently to form a small circle.

Cook the Uttapam, sprinkle additional grated zucchini and veggies if desired. cook on medium heat until bubbles appear, then flip and cook the other side until golden brown.

Serve the zucchini dal uttapam hot with coconut chutney or sambar for a nutritious and flavorful meal.
