Dry Roast Makhana: Add makhana to the pan. Dry roast them on medium heat for about 4-5 minutes, stirring frequently.

Add Ghee or Oil: Once the makhana starts to get crisp, add ghee or oil to the pan.

Seasoning: Sprinkle salt and pepper (if using) over the makhana.

Continue Roasting: Roast for another 3-4 minutes or until the makhana becomes crisp and light brown in color.

Cooling: Once roasted, turn off the heat and let the roasted makhana cool down completely.

Serve or Store: They can be stored at room temperature for up to a week.
