Prepare the Methi Leaves, Wash and chop 1 cup of fresh fenugreek leaves. make sure to remove any thick stems.
Make the Dough, in a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of whole wheat flour, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, and the chopped methi leaves. gradually add water to knead the dough until soft but not sticky. cover and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
Roll the Dough, divide the dough into small balls. roll each ball into a smooth, flat disc on a floured surface. you can dust with more flour to prevent sticking.
Cook the Roti, heat a tawa or griddle on medium heat. place the rolled roti on the hot tawa and cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side, until brown spots appear.
Serve, once cooked, apply a little ghee or butter on top of the roti and serve hot with yogurt or curry of your choice. enjoy your methi roti.
