Soak Urad Dal, Soak urad dal in water for 4-5 hours.
Grind to Paste, Drain and grind the soaked dal into a smooth, thick paste with minimal water.
Add Ingredients, Mix in chopped onions, green chilies, curry leaves, cumin seeds, and salt.
Shape Vadas, Wet your hands, take a small portion of the batter, and shape it into a round doughnut with a hole in the center.
Heat Oil, Heat oil in a deep frying pan.
Fry Vadas, Gently slide the shaped vadas into the hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides.
Drain Excess Oil, Remove the vadas from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Serve, hot with coconut chutney and sambar. Enjoy your crispy medu vada.
