Here’s a simple way to make Diwali gujiya at home.

Prepare the Dough, mix 2 cups of flour with 4 tablespoons of melted ghee until crumbly. Gradually add water to knead into a soft dough, cover, and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Make the Filling, in a pan, roast 1 cup of khoya in 1 tablespoon of ghee until golden. once cool, mix in powdered sugar, cardamom powder, and chopped nuts.

Roll the Dough, divide the dough into small balls, and roll each into a 4-inch circle.

Stuff the Gujiya, place a spoonful of filling in each circle, fold into a semi-circle, and seal the edges using a fork or by pinching.

Fry the Gujiyas, heat oil or ghee and fry the gujiyas in batches until golden brown.

Cool and Serve, let them cool on paper towels, then enjoy or store in an airtight container for later.
