Preheat the Oven, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). line a muffin tin with cupcake liners or grease it with butter.
Prepare the Batter, in a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. then, add the mashed bananas and mix well.
Add Eggs and Vanilla, beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract. mix until fully incorporated.
Combine Dry Ingredients, in a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
Fold in Chocolate Chips, if using, fold in the chocolate chips into the batter, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
Bake, fill each muffin cup about two-thirds full with the batter. bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. allow to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
