Here's how to make street-style shawarma at home.

Marinate the Chicken, in a bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, cinnamon, salt, pepper, and olive oil. add chicken strips, coat well, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Prepare the Garlic Sauce, blend garlic, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and salt until smooth. adjust seasoning and keep in the fridge.

Cook the Chicken, heat a grill pan or skillet on medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally until fully cooked and slightly charred. remove from heat.

Warm the Flatbread, while the chicken cooks, warm your flatbread or pita bread in a dry pan or microwave to make it soft and pliable.

Assemble the Wrap, lay a warm flatbread on a plate, spread a generous layer of garlic sauce, and top with shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onions. For extra zing, add some pickles or a dash of hot sauce.

Add the Chicken, place the cooked chicken strips evenly over the veggies, and drizzle a bit more garlic sauce if you like.

Roll and Serve, roll up the flatbread tightly, tuck in the ends, slice in half if desired, and serve immediately. enjoy your homemade street-style shawarma.
