Prepare the Coconut, grate fresh coconut finely or soak desiccated coconut in warm milk to soften.
Sauteing Coconut for Aroma, heat ghee in a pan, add grated coconut, and saute for 2-3 minutes on low flame.
Mixing Sugar and Milk, pour sugar and milk into the sauteed coconut, stirring continuously until thickened.
Cook Until Thick, continue stirring until the mixture is sticky and leaves the pan's sides.
Add Cardamom Powder, incorporate cardamom powder for enhanced flavor, mixing it well into the mixture.
Set & Cool, grease a plate or tray with ghee. pour the mixture onto it and spread evenly. garnish with chopped almonds or pistachios. let it cool for 30-40 minutes.
Cut & Serve, once set, cut into squares or diamond shapes. your delicious Nariyal Barfi is ready to enjoy.
