Here's how to make healthy and crispy Ajwain Paratha at home in just 6 easy steps.
Prepare the dough, in a bowl, mix whole wheat flour, ajwain, salt, and 1 tbsp oil/ghee. gradually add water and knead into a soft, smooth dough. cover and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
Roll the paratha, divide the dough into small balls and roll one into a thin circle. apply a little ghee/oil on the surface and sprinkle some dry flour.
Fold & roll again, fold it into a semi-circle, then fold again to make a triangle. roll out the triangle gently to maintain layers.
Cook on a tawa, heat a tawa and place the rolled paratha on it. cook for 30-40 seconds on one side, then flip.
Apply ghee & cook till golden, spread ghee/oil on the top side, then flip again. press gently with a spatula and cook until golden brown and crisp.
Serve hot, remove from heat and serve hot with curd, pickle, or chutney.
