Prepare the batter, take your fermented idli or dosa batter and mix in chopped onion, green chilli, curry leaves, and a pinch of salt.

Heat a non-stick pan, use a regular non-stick frying pan or tawa. drizzle a few drops of oil in small circular spots like mini pancakes.

Spoon the batter, pour a small spoonful of batter for each appe-sized circle, like tiny uttapams.

Cover and Cook, cover the pan with a lid and cook on low-medium flame for 2–3 minutes, until the bottom is golden.

Flip gently, use a spoon or spatula to flip each mini appe. drizzle a little more oil if needed.

Cook the other side, let it cook uncovered for another 2–3 minutes till both sides are crisp and golden.

Serve hot, take them off the pan and serve with coconut chutney or tomato chutney.
