Here's how to make creamy and delicious Beetroot pie at home in just 5 easy steps.
Prepare the pie crust, mix flour, salt, and butter until crumbly, then add cold water gradually. knead lightly, wrap in plastic, and chill for 30 minutes.
Roll & Bake the crust, roll out the dough, place it in a pie dish, and poke holes. pre-bake at 180°C for 10 minutes.
Make the beetroot filling, in a pan, mix beetroot puree, sugar, milk, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, and cornstarch. cook on low heat, stirring, until thickened.
Assemble & bake, pour filling into the crust and bake at 180°C for 35-40 minutes.
Cool & serve, let cool before slicing. serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
