Here's how to make quick and easy pulao at home.

Prepare the Base, heat oil or ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds and bay leaf. once they splutter, sauté chopped onions until golden.

Add Vegetables and Spices, add chopped tomatoes, mixed vegetables, turmeric, garam masala, and salt. cook for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables soften slightly.

Mix in Rice, drain the soaked rice and add it to the pan. stir gently to coat the rice with spices.

Cook the Pulao, pour 2 cups of water into the pan. cover with a lid and cook on low heat for about 12-15 minutes, or until the rice absorbs the water.

Fluff and Serve, once done, fluff the pulao with a fork. Serve hot with raita or pickle for a quick, delicious meal.
