Prepare the cornstarch mixture, dissolve cornstarch in 1/4 cup of cold milk, ensuring no lumps remain.

Heat the milk, in a saucepan, heat the remaining milk on medium heat until it begins to simmer.

Add sugar, stir in the sugar and continue heating until it dissolves completely.

Thicken the milk, gradually add the cornstarch mixture to the simmering milk, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

Flavor the pudding, add vanilla extract or cardamom powder for extra flavor and mix well.

Cool and serve, pour the pudding into serving bowls, let it cool, and refrigerate for 1-2 hours. garnish with nuts or fruits before serving.
