Prepare the Yakhni, boil mutton/chicken with water, whole spices, salt, and ginger-garlic paste until tender. strain and reserve the broth; separate the meat.
Saute Onions & Spices, in a pan, heat ghee/oil, sauté sliced onions until golden brown, then add the whole spices and cumin.
Cook the Meat, add the cooked meat and yogurt, stir well, and cook for a few minutes to blend the flavors.
Cook the Rice, pour the reserved yakhni into the pan, bring it to a boil, then add soaked basmati rice. cover and simmer until rice is fully cooked.
Fluff & Serve, once done, fluff the rice gently, let it rest for a few minutes, and serve hot with raita or salad.
