Prepare the Batter, soak 1 cup idli rice and 1/2 cup urad dal for 4–6 hours. grind with 1/4 cup poha and water into a smooth batter. let it ferment overnight.

Add Flavors, mix chopped onions, green chilies, ginger, curry leaves, carrots, and salt into the batter. add a pinch of baking soda if needed.

Heat the Pan, grease a hot appe pan with oil and fill each cavity 3/4 full with the batter.

Cook the Appe, cover and cook on medium heat until golden on one side. Flip and cook the other side until crispy.

Serve, the appe warm with coconut or tomato chutney. enjoy this tasty, healthy snack.
