Here’s a quick 5-step method to make instant masala buttermilk at home.

Take 1 cup curd in a bowl and whisk it well until smooth.
Add 1.5 to 2 cups of cold water and mix to make thin buttermilk.
Add spices, ¼ tsp roasted cumin powder, a pinch of black salt, regular salt to taste, and a pinch of hing.
Mix in fresh herbs, finely chopped coriander leaves, a few mint leaves, and 1 chopped green chili.
Stir well & serve chilled, optionally add ice cubes or a tempering of mustard seeds and curry leaves for extra flavor.
