Here’s a simple 6 step recipe to make Badam Halwa at home.

Soak and peel almonds, soak 1 cup of almonds in hot water for 1 hour. peel and grind them into a smooth paste with a little milk.
Cook almond paste, heat 2 tablespoons of ghee in a pan. add the almond paste and cook on low heat, stirring for 10-12 minutes, until it turns slightly golden.
Add milk and sugar, pour in ½ cup milk and ¾ cup sugar. stir well and cook until the mixture thickens.
Add ghee, slowly add the rest of the ghee, stirring until the halwa becomes glossy.
Flavor, add cardamom powder and saffron. stir until the halwa leaves the sides of the pan.
Serve, once thick, turn off the heat. serve warm, garnished with almonds or saffron.
