Prepare the guavas, slice guavas into wedges, removing seeds if needed.

Make the tempering, heat oil, add mustard seeds, then stir in turmeric, chili, and cumin powders.

Cook the guavas, add guavas, toss in spices, and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add water and flavorings, add water, jaggery, tamarind, and salt. simmer for 5-7 minutes.
