Prepare the lauki, peel and grate lauki, then squeeze out excess water to remove bitterness.
Saute in ghee, heat ghee in a pan, add grated lauki, and saute for 5–7 minutes until softened.
Cook with milk, add milk and simmer on low heat for 10–12 minutes, stirring until absorbed.
Add sugar and cardamom, mix in sugar and cardamom powder, then cook until the mixture thickens.
Enrich and garnish, add khoya, nuts, and saffron, cook briefly, and serve warm.
