Here's how to make authentic Uniyappams in 7 easy steps at home.

Melt jaggery, heat jaggery with 2-3 tablespoons of water in a pan until it dissolves. strain to remove impurities and let it cool.

Prepare the batter, in a bowl, mix rice flour, mashed banana, jaggery syrup, cardamom powder, and water to form a smooth batter.

Add coconut and sesame Seeds, heat ghee in a pan, fry coconut pieces until golden, and add them along with sesame seeds to the batter. mix well.

Rest the batter, let the batter rest for 30 minutes to enhance the flavors and consistency.

Heat the pan, heat a uniyappam or paniyaram pan, adding a small amount of oil to each cavity. pour batter into each cavity, filling it halfway.

Fry the uniyappams, pour batter into each cavity, filling it halfway. cook on low heat until the edges turn golden, then flip and cook the other side.

Serve hot, remove the uniyappams when evenly browned and serve them warm as a festive delight.
