Here's how to make simple 6-step recipe to make Moong Dal Idli at home.

Soak 1 cup yellow moong dal for 2–3 hours. drain and grind into a smooth batter using little water.

Add Semolina & Curd, mix in ¼ cup semolina and ½ cup curd. let the batter rest for 15–20 minutes.

Add Spices and Veggies, add salt, ginger paste, chopped green chilies, coriander, and optional veggies like grated carrots or peas.

Add Eno/Fruit Salt, just before steaming, add 1 tsp Eno or fruit salt and mix gently for fluffiness.

Steam the Idlis, pour the batter into greased idli moulds. steam for 10–12 minutes on medium flame until a toothpick comes out clean.

Serve Hot, unmould carefully, and serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar.
