Soak the Dried Fruits, soak the dried fruits in orange juice for at least 2 hours or overnight. this keeps them soft and flavorful.
Prepare the Batter, in a bowl, cream together butter and sugar until fluffy. add eggs and mix well. fold in flour, baking powder, and cinnamon powder to form a smooth batter.
Mix in Fruits, drain the soaked fruits and gently mix them into the batter. you can add chopped nuts for extra crunch.
Bake the Cake, preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). pour the batter into a greased cake pan. bake for 30–40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Cool and Serve, allow the plum cake to cool completely. slice and enjoy it fresh or store in an airtight container for a few days.
