Grate or chop the Coconut, crack open the fresh coconut, remove the white flesh, and grate it finely. If using pre-shredded coconut, move to the next step.
Blend with Warm Water, add the grated coconut and warm water to a blender. blend on high speed for about 2-3 minutes until the coconut becomes fine and the mixture turns milky.
Strain the Mixture, pour the blended coconut mixture through a fine mesh strainer, cheesecloth, or nut milk bag into a bowl. squeeze or press well to extract all the milk.
Collect the coconut milk and transfer the strained coconut milk into a clean jar or container. you can use it immediately or store it in the refrigerator.
Second Extraction, you can add a little more warm water to the leftover coconut pulp, blend again, and strain for a lighter "second" coconut milk.
