Boil 2 cups of water in a pot, then add 1 tablespoon of black tea leaves or tea bags. let it simmer for 3-5 minutes until the tea is strong.
Strain the tea leaves or remove the tea bags, leaving only the brewed tea in the pot.
Add milk and boil, pour in 1/4 cup of milk and bring the mixture to a boil. simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Add butter and salt, remove from heat, add 2 tablespoons of butter and a pinch of salt. blend or whisk vigorously to combine, creating a frothy texture.
Serve, pour the tea into cups and enjoy warm, creamy, and salty tibetan butter tea.
