Here's how to make Moong dal idlis at home.

Soak and Grind, soak 1 cup yellow moong dal for 2–3 hours, drain, and grind into a smooth batter with a little water.
Prepare the Batter, mix the batter with 1/4 cup semolina , 1/2 cup curd, grated ginger, chopped green chilies, and salt. rest for 10–15 minutes.
Add Leavening Agent, stir in 1 tsp Eno fruit salt or baking soda gently just before steaming.
Steam Idlis, grease idli molds, pour the batter, and steam for 12–15 minutes until cooked.
Serve, hot with coconut chutney, tomato chutney, or sambar.
