– 1 tsp cumin powder
– 1 tsp coriander powder
– 1/2 tsp red chili powder (adjust to taste)
– 1/2 tsp garam masala
– 1 medium onion, finely chopped
– 1 medium tomato, chopped
– 1 green chili, slit lengthwise (optional, for heat)
– Salt to taste
– Fresh cilantro for garnish

Step 1- Heat Oil:
– Heat oil in a large pan or skillet over medium heat.
Step 2- Tempering:
– Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds (if using) to the hot oil. Let them splutter.
Step 3- Cook Onions:
– Add the chopped onions and green chili (if using). Sauté until the onions become translucent and start to turn golden brown.
Step 4- Add Tomatoes and Spices:
– Stir in the chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften and begin to break down.
