Easy Watermelon Popsicles Recipe To Try At Home
Watermelon popsicles are a delicious and refreshing treat, especially on hot summer days. These frozen delights are not only tasty but also easy to make at home. Let’s explore what makes watermelon popsicles so special and how you can whip up a batch of your own.
Ingredients:
1. Watermelon: You’ll need about 4 cups of chopped watermelon. Make sure to remove the seeds.
2. Lime juice: 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lime juice.
3. Honey or sugar (optional): If you prefer your popsicles sweeter, you can add 2 tablespoons of honey or sugar.
4. Popsicle molds: You’ll need popsicle molds and sticks to freeze your watermelon mixture.
Instructions:
STEP 1- Prepare the Watermelon: Start by chopping your watermelon into small pieces. Remove any seeds and place the chopped watermelon into a blender or food processor.
STEP 2- Blend: Add the lime juice to the blender with the watermelon. If you’re using honey or sugar, add it to the blender now as well. Blend the mixture until it’s smooth and well combined.
STEP 3- Pour into Molds: Carefully pour the watermelon mixture into your popsicle molds, leaving a little space at the top for the mixture to expand as it freezes. If you don’t have popsicle molds, you can use small paper cups or ice cube trays instead. Insert popsicle sticks into each mold.
STEP 4- Freeze: Place the filled popsicle molds in the freezer and let them freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or until they’re completely solid.
STEP 5- Enjoy: Once the popsicles are frozen solid, remove them from the molds by running warm water over the outside of the mold for a few seconds. Gently pull on the popsicle sticks to release the popsicles. Now you’re ready to enjoy your homemade watermelon popsicles!
