Strawberry Lassi at Home
Strawberry lassi is a delicious and refreshing yogurt-based drink that combines the sweetness of strawberries with the tanginess of yogurt. It's perfect for a hot summer day or as a healthy treat any time of the year. Here’s a simple recipe to make strawberry lassi at home.
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh strawberries
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup cold water or milk
- 2-3 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder (optional)
- Ice cubes (optional)
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
STEP 1- Prepare the Strawberries:
- Wash the strawberries thoroughly under running water.
- Remove the green leafy tops.
- Cut the strawberries into halves or quarters for easier blending.
STEP 2- Blend the Ingredients:
- In a blender, add the cut strawberries, plain yogurt, cold water or milk, and sugar.
- If you like a hint of spice, add the cardamom powder.
- Blend the mixture until it is smooth and creamy.
STEP 3- Adjust Consistency:
- Check the consistency of the lassi. If it is too thick for your liking, you can add a little more cold water or milk and blend again until you reach the desired consistency.
STEP 4- Chill the Lassi:
- If you want your lassi to be extra cold, you can add a few ice cubes into the blender and blend again.
- Alternatively, you can chill the lassi in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before serving.
STEP 5- Serve:
- Pour the strawberry lassi into glasses.
- Garnish with a fresh mint leaf if desired.
STEP 6- Enjoy:
- Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade strawberry lassi!
