Here’s a simple recipe for making Peda:
– 1 cup condensed milk
– 1 cup milk powder
– 1/2 cup milk (full cream)
– 2 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter)
– 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
– Chopped nuts (cashews, almonds, pistachios) for garnish
In a non-stick pan, heat the ghee over medium heat.
Add the milk and milk powder to the pan, stirring continuously to combine.
Pour in the condensed milk and continue to cook, stirring frequently.
Cook the mixture until it thickens and starts to pull away from the sides of the pan, about 10-15 minutes.
Stir in the cardamom powder.
Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then shape into small balls or discs.
Garnish with chopped nuts while still warm.
Let the pedas cool completely before serving.
Enjoy your homemade peda!
