Here’s a delicious recipe for cheese paneer pops:
– 200g paneer, grated
– 1/2 cup grated cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
– 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (plus extra for coating)
– 1-2 green chilies, finely chopped (optional)
– 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
– 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
– 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
– Salt, to taste
– Fresh coriander leaves, chopped (optional)
– Oil, for frying
In a mixing bowl, combine grated paneer, grated cheese, breadcrumbs, green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, red chili powder, salt, and chopped coriander. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into small balls or patties, about the size of a golf ball. Roll each ball in breadcrumbs to coat evenly.
In a deep frying pan, heat oil over medium heat. To check if the oil is ready, drop a small piece of the mixture in; if it sizzles, the oil is hot enough.
Carefully add the paneer pops to the hot oil in batches. Fry until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove them using a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Serve the cheese paneer pops hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ketchup or a spicy chutney.
Enjoy your delicious cheese paneer pops as a snack or appetizer!
