Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Oreo truffles:
– 1 package (15.25 oz) Oreo cookies
– 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
– 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
– 1 tbsp coconut oil or vegetable oil (optional, for smoother melting)
– Sprinkles, crushed Oreos, or additional melted chocolate for decoration (optional)
– Place the Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until they are finely crushed into crumbs.
– Add the softened cream cheese to the crumbs and blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
– Using a small cookie scoop or your hands, shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
– Refrigerate the truffles for about 30 minutes to firm up.
– In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips with the coconut oil (if using) in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until fully melted and smooth.
– Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate, using a fork to help coat it evenly. Gently tap the fork on the edge of the bowl to let excess chocolate drip off.
– Place the coated truffles back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet. Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle with crushed Oreos, sprinkles, or drizzle with additional melted chocolate if desired.
– Refrigerate the truffles for an additional 15-30 minutes to set the chocolate. Once fully set, they are ready to serve.
Enjoy these Oreo truffles as a sweet treat for any occasion!
