Here’s a simple recipe for making a No-Bake Chocolate Biscuit Cake:
– 200 grams (7 oz) digestive biscuits or graham crackers
– 100 grams (3.5 oz) unsalted butter
– 200 grams (7 oz) dark chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
– 1/4 cup (60 ml) milk
– 1/2 cup (60 grams) powdered sugar
– 1/4 cup (60 ml) honey or golden syrup
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
– A pinch of salt
– Optional: 1/4 cup (30 grams) chopped nuts, dried fruits, or mini marshmallows
Break the biscuits into small pieces or rough crumbs and set aside.
In a heatproof bowl, combine the chopped chocolate, butter, milk, powdered sugar, and honey. Melt the mixture over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method) or in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
Remove the bowl from heat and stir in vanilla extract, if using. Add any optional ingredients like nuts, dried fruits, or mini marshmallows.
Gently fold the broken biscuits into the chocolate mixture until they are well coated.
Line a baking dish or cake pan (about 8×8 inches) with parchment paper. Pour the biscuit-chocolate mixture into the pan and press it down evenly.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the cake is firm and set.
Once set, remove from the pan, cut into squares or bars, and serve.
This No-Bake Chocolate Biscuit Cake is a delicious and easy treat that requires no baking, making it perfect for quick preparations and satisfying sweet cravings.
