Here’s a delicious garlic butter mushroom recipe that’s quick and easy to make:
– 1 pound (450g) fresh mushrooms (cremini or button)
– 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
– 4 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried parsley)
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Optional: a splash of lemon juice or balsamic vinegar for added flavor
Gently wipe the mushrooms with a damp paper towel to remove any dirt. Avoid rinsing them under water as they can absorb moisture.
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
Once the butter is melted and bubbling, add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant (be careful not to burn it).
Add the mushrooms to the skillet. Stir to coat them in the garlic butter. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are golden brown and tender.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. If desired, add a splash of lemon juice or balsamic vinegar for a bit of acidity.
Stir in the fresh parsley and cook for an additional minute.
Remove from heat and transfer the mushrooms to a serving dish. Enjoy as a side dish, or toss them into pasta, risotto, or on top of steak!
Enjoy your garlic butter mushrooms!
