– Puffed rice – 2 cups
– Chickpea flour sev – 1 cup
– Boiled potatoes – 2, diced
– Boiled chickpeas – 1 cup
– Diced onions – 1 cup
– Diced tomatoes – 1 cup
– Chopped coriander leaves – 1/2 cup
– Chopped green chilies – 2, optional
– Tamarind paste – 1/2 cup
– Jaggery – 1/4 cup, grated
– Water – 1 cup
– Roasted cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
– Red chili powder – 1/2 tsp
– Salt – to taste
– Plain yogurt – 1 cup
– Roasted cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
– Black salt – 1/2 tsp
– Chili powder – 1/4 tsp
– Salt – to taste
– Chopped coriander leaves – for garnish
– Chopped onions – for garnish
– Sev – for garnish
– Pomegranate seeds – for garnish
– In a saucepan, combine tamarind paste, jaggery, and water.
– Cook on low heat until the mixture thickens slightly.
– Add roasted cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
– Let it cool and set aside.
– In a bowl, whisk the yogurt until smooth.
– Add roasted cumin powder, black salt, chili powder, and regular salt. Mix well.
– In a large bowl, combine puffed rice, chickpea flour sev, boiled potatoes, boiled chickpeas, onions, and tomatoes.
– Add the tamarind chutney and yogurt dressing to the mixture. Mix gently to combine.
– Adjust seasoning with salt and additional chutneys if needed.
