Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (or whole wheat flour for a healthier option)
  • 1/2 cup milk (adjust for consistency)
  • 1 egg (or flaxseed egg for a vegan version)
  • 1 tbsp sugar (optional, depending on the sweetness of bananas)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1 tbsp melted butter or oil (for the batter)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: Mash the Bananas

  • Peel and mash the bananas in a bowl using a fork until smooth. Small lumps are fine as they add texture.
  • If you like extra sweetness, add 1 tbsp sugar.

Step 2: Prepare the Batter

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon powder.
  • In another bowl, whisk the egg, milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix gently.
  • Add the mashed bananas and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; the batter should be slightly thick but pourable.

Step 3: Heat the Pan

  • Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium-low heat and grease it with butter or oil.
